What We Do
Each year the Foundation inducts SUSD alumni into the Hall of Excellence at a fundraiser gala celebrating their accomplishments — and raising funds for continued student and teacher grants.

Many alumni credit SUSD for providing the resources that put them on a path to success, exposing them to leadership that shaped their mindsets, or providing unique programs that inspired their career choice.
While these alumni have taken many different paths — politics, sports, medicine, business and entertainment — they share a belief that quality education was pivotal to their success, and a passion to inspire students to appreciate their educational resources and take charge of their futures.
Inductees are memorialized via name placards in the SUSD district office Hall of Excellence, receive a framed certificate signed by the Foundation president and district superintendent, and are honored in the event program. Also recognized each year are two student, two teacher and two administrator Hall of Excellence Honorees.
